About Chevening Scholarship: 

The Government of the United Kingdom provides Chevening Scholarship. It is an International Scholarship Program to study in the UK for International Students. It Offers a Fully Funded master’s Degree Course for International Students from all over the world. This Scholarship is funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office and partner organizations in the UK.

The students come from diverse countries and backgrounds, but they all share a passion for making the world better by demonstrating the vision, passion, and skills required to do so.

Chevening Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:

If students meet their eligibility criteria and other requirements, they can apply for these scholarships.

  • Be a citizen of one of the 160 countries or territories that are eligible for the Chevening Scholarship.
  • Applicants Applied for 3 Courses and Got an Unconditional Offer.
  • The English language requirement for the Chevening Scholarship has been met.

Educational Requirements: Completed the Undergraduate Degree and Meet all the requirements.

Work Experiences: Have a minimum of 2,800 hours or two years of working experience. The types of work experience that are eligible for Chevening can include:

  • Full-time employment
  • Part-time employment
  • Voluntary work
  • Paid or unpaid internships

It includes gender, age (no upper age limit), sexual orientation, religion, marriage or parenthood status, caste, class, or other attributes.

Other Criteria: 

  • Submit a Strong Application that Demonstrated one’s capability
  • Can handle intense masters course
  • Have a clear vision for the future.

Eligible courses for Chevening Scholarship

To be eligible, the courses you choose must be full-time, and:

  • Start in the autumn term (usually September/October)
  • Taught master’s (i.e., not research-focused MRes programs)
  • Lead to a master’s degree qualification
  • Based in the UK

Courses cannot be:

  • Part-time
  • Distance learning
  • Less than nine months in duration
  • More than 12 months in duration
  • Ph.D. or DPhil
  • Taught with more than one month of study outside the UK

Then, use their course finder to look for eligible master’s degrees offered by universities all over the United Kingdom.

One of the most critical aspects of your application is that you select the appropriate courses at the appropriate universities. This course finder tool allows you to look for eligible master’s degree programs at every university in the United Kingdom* using one search only.

To be considered for a Chevening Scholarship, your Chevening application must list three courses, all of which must be eligible for a Chevening Scholarship.

You will need to submit a separate application for your course through the university offering the course. Your Chevening application does not imply that you have applied to the courses of your choice.

Financial Aid for International Students:

As Chevening Scholarships are fully-funded, your award includes the following:

  • university tuition fees
  • a monthly stipend
  • travel costs to and from the UK
  • an arrival allowance
  • a homeward departure allowance
  • the cost of one visa application
  • a travel grant to attend Chevening events in the UK
